Almond Cranberry Nougat
Traditional Persian nougat is one of the world’s oldest and most beautiful confections. It may also be one of the world’s most unusual delicacies. Commonly known as gaz, this sumptuous nougat originated in Isfahan, a province in Central Iran that was so grand it twice served as the capital of Persia.
Pistachio Nougat
Nougat, aerated confection made by mixing nuts and sometimes fruit pieces in a sugar paste whose composition is varied to give either a chewy or a brittle consistency. Pistachio nougat has a robust pistachio flavor and a delicate green color to complement the chewy sweet nougat.
Almond Nougat

My objective was to make traditional Persian nougat with Canadian integration.
Ali Meghdadi is the co-founder of Golden confection, a company launched in 2018 at Saint-Laurent, Montreal. Their main product, Persian nougat, also called “gaz” in Farsi is originated from Isfahan. “Gaz,” an Iranian candy that is unique, and it’s originated from pure and natural ingredients

Iranian pastry comes with a rich culture. This sweet combination mainly makes from honey, almonds, and eggs and use for the Nowruz (Iranian new year).” During the holiday, gaz is served as a traditional pastry to their guests.
